What is a UPG?

When the Bible speaks of nations, tribes, tongues, and peoples, it is referring to the same mission – reaching all people with the good news of Jesus Christ! While there are only about 200 countries in the world, missiologists tell us there are over 16,500 nations! With His blood, Jesus purchased people from every tribe and tongue (Revelation 5:9), yet around 7,000 of these nations have yet to be reached with the Gospel! These are the unreached people groups.

What does this mean? Most likely these people groups have:

– No Bible
– No Church
– No Believers among them
– No Missionaries going to them
– No way to know who Jesus is unless someone tells them!

What is Church UPG adoption?

There is a tremendous force for advancing the gospel to the those who have never heard it that has yet to be tapped into, and it is found in local churches. God has uniquely equipped each church body for standing as the global church, reaching the nations for Christ! This is why School to the Nations designed the Church UPG Adoption program: to train and equip local churches for leading their congregation to engage the unreached people groups with the gospel!

This program focuses on mobilizing the entire congregation to either pray, give, or go to a specific unreached people group that has been prayerfully selected by the church. By the end of this program, your leaders will have the training and tools to prayerfully lead your congregation into sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those around the world who have never heard His name one time.

The call to share the gospel with all tribes, tongues, and nations is for every believer.
